Times Table Snap

Learning times tables can be very boring, but this card game for two players is a fun way of doing it and it will encourage the learning of times tables as a reflex action. The players decide which suit they would like and make sure that they have all the cards from that suit except for the King. The Ace represents 1 and the Jack and Queen represent 11 and 12. Shuffle the cards and place them face down on the table. Decide who is going to go first and the first player lays their first card face up on the table. The first person to shout out the correct answer to the multiplication of the two cards wins the cards ('trick'). The game finishes when all the cards have been won. The winner of the game is the person who has won the most tricks. |
