The solution is to fill the pipe with water so that the ball floats to the top. You will need to make sure that there is a supply of water nearby such as a water cooler, jugs of drinking water, a water tank or tap. Plastic drainpipe or downpipe is suitable for this exercise, but you will need to plug one end and - to give it stability - sink about 500 mm into the ground, tie four lines to the top and the fix other ends of the lines to tent pegs. |
