Use this anecdote as a 'point maker' when running train-the-trainer and presentation courses.

Writing a mathematical statement on the board, the professor said, 'This, of course, is obvious.' He looked at it again and added, 'At least I think it's obvious.' Then he retired from the lecture room with a pencil and paper. Twenty minutes later he returned beaming and announced, 'Yes, gentlemen and ladies, it is obvious.'
